Coping Constructively with Medical Illness Recovering from Unexpected Job Loss Taming Overspending and Overshopping
~ This group is designed for high school age girls who wish to have a supportive environment to address a variety of emotional and relationship issues. The objectives of this group are to encourage the development of trust and safety among group members, to facilitate open and honest expression of feelings and concerns, to foster assertiveness and healthy communication skills, and to address social and psychological issues relevant to older adolescent girls. The group facilitator will be Dr. Allisun Noe. Dr. Noe has experience working with adolescents who have had difficulty with depression, anxiety, eating disorders, and substance abuse. Day: Tuesdays Time: 5:00 - 6:30pm Cost: $55 per session Contact: Allisun Noe, Psy.D. at ext. 211 ~ The intention for this group is self-empowerment and self-exploration. The participant will be able to connect with others through creative writing and art making while experiencing growth, recognizing one's own uniqueness and witnessing a process of change. This group will provide participants with techniques and skills to assist in coping with the emotional and behavioral aspects of asthma, allergies, arthritis, diabetes, fibromyalgia, high blood pressure, heart disease, and pain disorders. Mothers and daughters have to renegotiate their relationship
as adolescent autonomy emerges. The goal of this day-long workshop is to
increase healthy connections between mothers and daughters by defusing conflict,
promoting understanding, and developing strategies for mothers to assist their
teen-aged daughters in ways that daughters find supportive. This workshop is intended for mothers and their daughters who
are in high school. While mother-daughter pairs are the intended
participants, individual mothers or daughters are also welcome to
attend. Please join facilitators Denise Dojka, Psy.D. and Allisun Noe,
Psy.D. for this day-long journey into better connections and increased zest,
clarity, empowerment and well-being. In order to provide ample opportunity for participation,
registration is limited to a maximum of seven mother-daughter pairs. Day: Saturday, October 29, 2005* Time: 10:00

Recovering from
Unexpected Job Loss
This is a 5-session weekly group. This group will
provide participants with techniques and skills to assist in coping with
emotional and behavioral aspects of losing a job. Equally important, this group
will focus on providing participants with techniques designed to re-capture a
sense of resiliency and to learn how to decide what to do next in the career
search as well as confront decision paralysis and procrastination.

Taming Overspending and Overshopping
This is a 5-session weekly group. This group will
provide participants with the techniques and skills to identify habits
associated with overspending and overshopping as well as learn techniques to
acquire greater control of impulsive and compulsive shopping and spending
patterns.
