programs. He has also facilitated a series of Stop Smoking
programs using Clinical Hypnosis at Central DuPage
Hospital.
Dr. Lennon may
use an Alternative Personal Growth approach if a client is
interested. The Enneagram is a values based
model for discerning and awakening to ones “Root Motivational
Bias” style. This RMB style, or “Enneagram Type”(one
of nine ways of being), represent a mix of physical,
mental and emotional energy that has a strong unconscious
influence on the psyche, and can distort how we experience, see, and
relate to ourselves, others, and the world.
Dr. Lennon
teaches this powerful transformative system as a tool for
discerning and awakening to the Sacred within
humanity, to our “Higher Nature” or to ones “True Self”.
The system is rooted in a brain theory that was developed
independent of the Enneagram. The three Centers of the
Enneagram model are supported by an understanding of the
Triune Brain Theory developed by Dr. Paul MacLean, M.D. at the
National Institutes of Health in Washington, DC.
Dr. Lennon is a
Certified Enneagram Teacher in the Narrative Tradition
by Helen Palmer, M.A. and David Daniels, M.D., and he has taught
with Enneagram teacher and author Jerry Wagner, Ph.D. in the
Enneagram Certification Program at Loyola University in Chicago.
His spirituality is grounded primarily in the Judeo/Christian
mystical traditions. He is an ordained Roman Catholic Deacon
of the Diocese of Davenport and assists clients in working through
spiritual crises and other spiritual or religious related
concerns.
He received his
Masters degree in Clinical Social Work from the University of Iowa
and his doctorate in Counseling Psychology from William Lyon
University. He is a licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker in
both Illinois and Iowa, and a Diplomate in Clinical Social Work.
